The Quality Control (QC) unit at Home Care Lebanon (HCL) is the result of the collaboration between HCL and the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) at the American University of Beirut (AUB) in 2009. The Faculty chose HCL as a site for its practicum training program, which is a part of the Masters in Public Health Program (MPH) at AUB. The QC unit has since evolved as a critical component of HCL’s activities, since it is designed to monitor and improve the company’s services.
One of the multiple programs that were launched by this unit is the Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) program that aims at visiting the patients in their homes to assess the quality of the services. Key parameters are then plugged in monthly and a report is issued reflecting HCL’s activities, strengths and weaknesses. Appropriate measures are thought of and taken to address issues when and if they arise.
The main goal of the QC unit is to ensure that patients receive the best possible care & treatment which would result in a high patient satisfaction rate. This is why HCL constantly monitors its services and trains its staff to reach the highest standards of care.
